Bio
Avarey McDonald is a master's student in the Stem Cell Program at California State University, Sacramento, and joined the lab as part of the CIRM Bridges program. She earned her bachelor's degree in Biomanufacturing from Solano College. Avarey is passionate about exploring novel cancer therapies that can improve treatment efficacy and minimize toxic side effects. Her current research focuses on developing hybrid nanoparticle-based therapies for the treatment of pediatric cancers, particularly neuroblastoma. Outside of the lab she enjoys cooking, drawing, playing video games, and rock climbing.
